Frequently Asked Questions

Question: If you are only charging a commission based on performance, is it not true that you would have incentive to take unnecessary risk in my portfolio?

Answer: No, in fact we profile all of our clients in order to understand their risk tolerances, then only expose them to those portfolios which are appropriate for them. Further, each of our portfolios gives rise to different levels of risk relative to the market. Most importantly, our Domestic Benchmark Portfolio, which is meant to largely track the S&P 500, shows we’re willing to take market risk alongside our clients.

Question: How will fees be charged to my account?

Answer: Fees will be assessed on a monthly basis and will be enumerated in your statement. Only in those months when your portfolio experiences a positive gain will a fee be applied.

Question: Whom will I speak to or call when I need updates or have questions?

Answer: While our portfolios are run by our investment team, you will work directly with a specific DGA account manager who will be available to you for all account inquiries.

Question: What if I want to add money to the account? Would the new funds be treated differently than the original funds?

Answer: No. Performance is calculated monthly, meaning any positive monthly performance without respect to a high water mark will be used for the determination of fees. Fees received mid-month will not be tracked for billing/performance purposes until the 1st of the following month—meaning your first partial month is free.

Question: Do I have to transfer my account to Delta Global in order to take advantage of this program?

Answer: While transferring your account to us is the ideal mechanism for day-to-day account management, you do not have to move your account to us. Contact us for more information about taking advantage of our performance-based pricing while keeping your account with your current discount brokerage firm.
